Jonathan Villa has over 17 years of experience as a technology consultant including 13 years of working experience in the information security field. For over 10 years Jonathan consulted to a large municipality as a senior consultant in several competencies including PCI compliance and training, web application architecture and security, vulnerability assessments, trained developers in secure coding, web application firewall administration, and co-architected and managed an automated continuous integration environment that included static and dynamic code analysis for over 150 applications deployed to several distinct environments and platforms.

Oliver Tavakoli, Chief Technology Officer, Vectra

Oliver Tavakoli is chief technology officer at Vectra. Oliver is a technologist who has alternated between working for large and small companies throughout his 25-year career – he is clearly doing the latter right now. Prior to joining Vectra, Oliver spent more than seven years at Juniper as chief technical officer for the security business. Oliver joined Juniper as a result of its acquisition of Funk Software, where he was CTO and better known as developer #1 for Steel-Belted Radius. Prior to joining Funk Software, Oliver co-founded Trilogy Inc. and prior to that, he did stints at Novell, Fluent Machines and IBM. Oliver received an MS in mathematics and a BA in mathematics and computer science from the University of Tennessee.

Eric Weakland, Director of Information Security, American University

Eric Weakland is the Director of Information Security for American University. He has over twenty five years’ experience in the Information Technology field, specializing in Information Security for the last eighteen. Before joining American University in 1996, he held positions in help desk management and computer training, working with major corporations and government agencies. While at AU, he has held positions as a Help Desk manager, network analyst, software analyst, PC support technician, Novell Netware administrator, systems programmer and information security engineer. He holds a Bachelor of the Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and a Master's of Science in Information Technology Management from American University's Kogod School of Business. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP #33180), a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC). In his spare time, he is an amateur farmer, Cub Scout leader, enjoys riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
